A purebred horse festival took place on Thursday, October 1, where 100 Turkmen purebred horses were on display. This festival was held in Aliabad-e-Katul with the aim of promoting tourism in the northern part of the Golestan province in Iran. This initiative to promote agritourism and Golestan was supported by breeders, trainers, and owners of horses from all over Iran.
The province of Golestan has about 2,500 natural ad historical sites, the famous ones include the one-millennium-old brick tower and the UNESCO registered Gonbad-e-Qabus. This festival showcases the Turkmen horses for their slender body, smartness, bravery, and endurance.
